While returning to Mysuru from Chamarajnagar after visiting Srinidhi's farm, we stopped near a paddy field and these photos narrate Chinua's enjoyment!

Visit to swaYYam in Yelachatti Village near Bandipur. Malvikaa Solanki is engaged in many eco activities including soil and water conservation, non-chemical farming, low-cost eco-friendly building etc.  For details: www.swayyam.org

Visit to C.V. Srinidhi's farm near Chamarajnagar. He is practicing non-chemical farming based on the principles of Subhash Palekar.

GRASSROUTES: DAY 3 Visited my good old friend, renowned wildlife photographer Lokesh Mosale's house in the outskirts of Mysuru.

Grassroutes 2018: Day 2 On 3 April 2018, after visiting Hosa Jeevana Daari of Janapada Seva Trust, Melukote we proceeded to Belavala Farm near Mysore. Dr. K. Ramakrishnappa and his wife received us with warmth and took us through their organic farm. Dr. Ramakrishnappa, after his retirement from State Horticulture Dept, moved to Mysore and pursuing his concern for farmer welfare. Through Belavala Foundation, he is imparting hands on training and proving guidance to farmers in ecological farming. Santhosh Koulagi of Janapada Seva Trust was also with us during our visit. A variety of fruits including water apple, papaya, mulberry etc were a rare treat to our eyes and stomach. Jon Jondai of Pun Pun Centre, Thailand will  be soon visiting Belagola farm.
